Introducing BROOKLYN NAIM LORENZ!

many of you have been waiting for a new post, and to all of my faithful blog followers i say thank you for your patience!

on january 8, 2009 i gave birth to my beautiful daughter, brooklyn. and while having her was one of the best days of my life, it was also one of the scariest. you see, brooklyn was not supposed to bless us with her presence until april 28th of this year! however, on january 8 brooklyn had plans of her own and made her way out into this world. as you can imagine, brooklyn had a few rough first couple of days here in the NICU - her new home until the end of april. Since her first day here, brooklyn has had an incredible team of nurses and doctors who have helped her get to where she is today - PERFECTLY healthy and moving QUICKLY toward coming home!! though sean and i have been warned DAILY that brooklyn should experience MANY ups and downs for the first few months of her life, she has soared past most of her hurdles and risen above the challenges that have faced her. our daughter continues to show us her daily strength and courage, and we are stronger because of her. we invite you to view her blog to read her entire story and see pictures of her growth: http://brooklynlorenz.blogspot.com/

many have asked if i will continue to work now that brooklyn is here, and to that i respond with a huge YES! i love what i do and would be heartbroken if i could not do it anymore. since her birth, i have photographed quite a few things (blog posts to come!) and working is one of the things that helps me get through these long days!

there will be many more posts of brooklyn i'm sure, but here is just one of the pictures from today...(the tube on her face helps her lungs to have positive pressure and it's coming off on monday!!)
