the versace wedding

date: 9.25.09
location: umbria, italy

when max and heather hired me to do their wedding in umbria, i began counting the days until the beautiful event! not only was italy the most amazingly beautiful place EVER, max and heather were the totally laid back, enjoyable people to be around and photograph. because max was familiar with the area, we were able to walk through the streets of gubbio and get AM.A.ZING. locations for pictures. we had so much fun together that a couple of days after their wedding, we met up in sienna and they showed us that area VERSACE style! (max may or may not be responsible for brooklyn's first taste of gelato...)

the couple chose to do photos before the ceremony - ALWAYS a win!

first sight.

this is the small city where the ceremony took place. we had to park at the bottom and walk to the top to where the chapel was.

we had to stop for coffee before our trek up.

one of the coolest castles i have ever seen.

the tourist's reaction to a bride walking through the streets!

the chapel

the versace's!

the view from the top.

how often do you get to photograph real olive branches!

ITALY! part 1

i am FINALLY getting to blog the versace wedding!! i can't believe how behind i am in blogging, but i am making it my mission to get caught up in the next couple of weeks...

so the versace wedding was a DREAM wedding for any couple. max and heather invited their closest family members and friends to spend a week with them in italy and witness their beautiful union. one of the greatest things about having a destination wedding is the events leading up to the wedding day. i was honored to have been part of the "rehearsal" festivities the night before. after a HUGE italian meal, the boys and girls split up for their own pre wedding responsibilities. as you can see, the girls got right down to business - making sure the bride was taken care of. the boys, well, they had a different plan...

cigars. first priority.

hair twisting...sean got involved too.

people were in awe of how this was done.

love this moment with heather and her grandmother

jessica + glenn married

date: 9.12.09
location: wequassett inn, cape cod, ma
planner: tangorra wedding planning
makeup: sarra

after meeting jessia and glenn at their engagement session last year, i knew theirs would be a wedding to remember. both the ceremony and reception were filled with unique antiques and pieces that were personal to each of them. i LOVE when couples bring their personalities to their wedding - it makes the day so special and memorable.

like most saturdays this season, it rained. but that didn't stop jessica and glenn from getting married outdoors! that's what umbrellas are made for.

first sight.

the flower girl.

jessica's parents surprised them with a dance they had taken lessons for. these two can move!

as can this girl.
