Marathon Monday

**UPDATE**

Many people have been asking me why I did this run, (knowing me, and my inability to run any kind of distance) and the ONLY reason I would have ever done such a stupid thing is because of my dear friend, Dianne. Dianne planned on running a marathon this spring, and I stupidly said I would train with her! Then came winter... UGH! It was a cold, long winter, but well worth the effort because I was able to spend those horrid runs with her. Dianne worked SO hard, and definitely would have qualified for Boston had she not injured her knee just before the marathon. So in answer to your questions, I did this race for Dianne. Had it not been for her, I NEVER EVER would have been able to run 26.2 miles! So thank you, my sweet friend. Thank you for pushing me. You will run again, and I will be there with you cheering you on!

It is finished!!

It has been a long, cold winter of training, but it was all worth yesterday when I crossed the finish line in Boston!

As many of you know, the Ohio marathon didn't work out so well due to injuries, so I decided just to go for it in Boston yesterday. This marathon meant so much because I have grown up here and have always envied those who can endure such a race. What a feeling to say I FINISHED BOSTON!!!!

Now back to normal life! NO more running for a while :)

Here is a picture of us at the finish line - can you tell which two got the most attention ;) Adi and Carolyn, I cannot express my gratitude for jumping in with me. The two of you are ROCK STARS, and I am forever grateful to you both!

I couldn't even make it through a Lord of the Rings marathon. You're such a freakin' overachiever. Stop being such an inspiration; I'm trying to live my life over here.

Oh, okay. Good job, I guess.

That's awesome, Kelly. Nice job. Have you heard the story of the first woman to run the Boston Marathon, Kathrine Switzer. Check it out... http://www.runnersworld.com/video/index.html?bcpid=717784762&bclid=604422052&bctid=769366252
