XTREME WEEK...

I just got home from a really incredible week in NYC. It was awesome being in classes for 3 days with SO many AMAZINGLY TALENTED photographers. Every single person in that room truly inspired and challenged me to be a better photographer. We were sent out in groups to shoot models each day, and each day I learned from the other people in my group to try out new lighting conditions, different angles to shoot from, new in camera settings, etc. We had so much fun running around with the couple below... Lando and Sarah were married in September and hired Jessica Claire to photograph their wedding. They volunteered to model for our class, and were an absolute BLAST!! Each day they came to our class fully dressed in their wedding attire and more than willing to do whatever we wanted! And boy will they have a ton of new pictures from so many talented photographers to ad to their already amazing collection!

So great to meet you all, and thanks so much Jessica and Liana for a wonderful week!!

XTREME SEMINAR...

I'm heading to New York City tomorrow to attend the much anticipated xtreme seminar - a 3 day workshop with the highly talented Jessica Claire - winner of Bludomain's Photographer Of The Year, and Lianna Lehman - equally as awesome! This is going to be such an inspiring week of learning photography from the best!

Tim and Nicole

Tim and Nicole were such a lovely couple to photograph! They have the most awesome story of how they came together - they grew up on the same street and their families were dear friends. One family moved away, but kept in close contact. Tim and Nicole remained friends, but were both involved in serious relationships. After many many years, the two ended their previous relationships and decided that they wanted to be together and have been ever since!! Don't you just love romance?!

Their wedding day was the most perfect crisp fall day. The ceremony took place outdoors at a local park and the reception was held at the ever beautiful Worcester Art Museum.

Thanks Nicole and Tim for being so wonderful to photograph - your love is so evident in ALL of your pictures!!

Kevin and TIna

I FINALLY have gotten the chance to post a few images from Kevin and Tina's wedding!

What an AMAZING weekend!!! It's not every day that I get flown over to a different country to photograph a wedding! Tina and Kevin planned the most phenomemonal wedding in Cabo San Lucas. EVERYTHING was picture perfect, and soooo fun to photograph. Kevin and Tina were willing to do anything for a good picture - they even played in the ever so dangerous ocean so I could get a few pictures!

Their wedding took place on the beach on a PERFECT Mexico day - okay, it was A LITTLE HOTTER than usual - 15 degrees hotter than a typical day in Mexico, but I'm not complaining! The reception was by far the most beautiful place I have ever been to. The Sunset Da Mona Lisa is located on the side of a cliff!! The guests were able to roam about the different levels, watch the sunset, listen to the 12 piece mariachi band, and drink TONS of tequilla! What a way to spend an evening!

Thanks guys for having me photograph one of the most beautiful weddings I have EVER seen!!! You two sure know how to plan a wedding!!

Fun in the Sun

Kevin and TIna

Today was our first day in Cabo!! Apparently there is some heat wave going on and it is 15 degrees HOTTER than usual!

Tina and Kevin had their civil ceremony today in downtown Cabo. It was so cute - a TINY little courthouse in the middle of town. After the ceremony, we went to the beach and had some fun in the water...

The Wells Family

One of my favorite things to do with my camera is to photograph families in their natural environment. In an area where they are comfortable, families will come alive and interact with each other and the camera in such a natural way. The Wells family is the perfect example of this. They have such a happy, welcoming home - which just breeds incredible pictures! The two girls are such a joy to be around and watching them play together and interact with their environment is so fun to capture!

Thanks for letting me invade your house for a bit!!

The slideshow will be along soon...

This is not an advertisement for Panasonic, but a "bribe" to get an ever so tired Sage to smile!! A little bit of Elmo goes a long way!

A Weekend OFF!!

As a native of New Enlgand - born and bred - I am embarassed to admit that I have never been apple picking! That is, until last Saturday. For the first time in a LOOOONG time, I didn't have a wedding, so Sean and I went apple picking with a couple of our friends. We spent the day climbing trees, picking and eating apples, and eating WAY too many cider doghnuts! Man, have I been missing out!

How do you like them apples?

Perfect for eating!

No more monkey's sitting in a tree...

Josh and Sandra sitting in a tree...

Um, I didn't know there was a right way to do this!

Mark and Amy

This past weekend I assisted my friend Erin (ecurranphoto.com) at a really awesome wedding. I knew we were going to have a great time when the bride said she was willing to trek through a wet field to get some pictures before the wedding in her dress! Amy was a photographer's dream - totally willing to do anything we asked of her and trusting of our techniques. Very rarely do I see two people more in love than Amy and Mark. Wacthing them interact throughout the evening was so fun and encouraging - real love really DOES exist!

BCM Babes!

So not only do I have some of the most beautiful friends around, they are also SUPER talented musicians! Every year these girls (and many other ridiculously talented musicians) put on a festival called the BCM Fest. (BCMfest.com) This three day music festival is filled with contra dancing, fiddle playing, guitar playing, etc. An all around fun weekend. This year these girls decided to make a calendar to raise money for the festival... We spent the day creating scenes to represent each month of the year. These are just a few of the months I like the best!

Thanks for such a fun shoot everyone!
